Beware the Delphi Technique! This time in Billings, Montana

Buried near the end of this news account from Billings, MT about churches preparing welcoming kits for refugees is a bit of information you need to know more about—no matter what political issue concerns you!

First wade through a discussion about World Relief Spokane’s Mark Kadel as he brags about how he is proactive with the media to get out a “welcoming” message about refugees to head off the unwelcoming locals.

He says his work in Spokane with the media has helped keep a lid on the controversy that now embroils nearby Missoula, MT.  (See also this morning’s post on Rutland, VT where it looks like the media lid is off!).

St. Andrew Presbyterian Church
St. Andrew Presbyterian Church will host a “constructive conversation” about Syrian refugee resettlement on May 21st.

This is what I want to get to…..

Near the end of the longish piece we learn that a Billings Presbyterian Church is going to hold a community meeting about Syrian refugees on May 21.

St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Billings invites area residents to engage in constructive conversations about Syrian refugees on Saturday, May 21, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the church, 180 24th St. W.

With a target of 10,000 Syrian refugees to be resettled in the United States by Sept. 30, Montanans are discussing whether Syrian refugees would be welcome in this state or if security issues are more important than the welfare of Syrians.

montana

Participants will join in small groups, with some members in favor of settling Syrian refugees in Montana and others who are concerned about the safety and security of citizens if Syrian refugees are permitted. A facilitator will encourage each person to tell his or her story and background, after which participants will explore any areas of common agreement. [Keep in mind that this ‘story and background’ mumbo jumbo is just one more strategy used to play on your emotions and stop logical debate.—ed]

The goal, according to a press release from the church, “is to learn to listen to others and to share our opinions in a civil manner, trying to understand each other without a need to come to any conclusions.”

For more information or to register for the free event, call the church weekday mornings at 656-9256 or write to office@standrewbillings.org.

Please state whether you are for or against the acceptance of Syrian refugees. This project is supported by a peace-making grant provided to St. Andrew Presbyterian Church by the Yellowstone Presbytery.

[LOL! they need to know in advance if you are for or against Syrians coming to Montana. Why?—ed]

Why is this so interesting to me (and should be to you)?

Because this is an example of the Delphi Technique, a system first developed over 50 years ago that is used now to direct the outcome of a public meeting to a pre-determined conclusion.  This (click here) is a good description of it.

The process used to “facilitate” the meeting is called the Delphi Technique. This Delphi Technique was developed by the RAND Corporation for the U.S. Department of Defense back in the 1950s. It was originally intended for use as a psychological weapon during the cold war.

However, it was soon recognized that the steps of Delphi could be very valuable in manipulating ANY meeting toward a predetermined end.

There are many variations, but here is a simple description of what I predict will happen (and what you can consider doing) at the St. Andrew Presbyterian Church:

Instead of the entire audience hearing the various critics of the idea of bringing refugees to Montana, the critics will be subsumed into small groups where the majority likely will be supporters of the proposition (refugees welcome) and have planned ahead for how to argue within your small group.

You, the critic in one group, will not hear what critics in other groups are saying.  The facilitator in each group will have been carefully chosen in advance (he or she will favor resettlement of refugees in Montana). Of course a smart facilitator will be slick, and you, the critic, will feel like your concerns have been heard.

But, since you are in the minority (unless many many critics show up!) when the group comes back together in the body of the whole, you will be made to feel that your opinion was the minority opinion and may not even be mentioned when wrap-up reports are given by each facilitator.

Media reports of the gathering will say that the majority of Billings citizens want to welcome refugees.

It seems to me that if you are planning to attend and are of the opinion that impoverished third world refugees from mostly the Middle East and Africa will not benefit your community you have several choices.

First, don’t participate at all and maybe protest outside.

Or, participate but stand up at the beginning and demand that you don’t break into small groups—then everyone hears everyone’s else’s concerns and ideas.  If they insist on the break-out groups (because their entire strategy is based on Delphi), you walk out (and complain to the press).

Or, if there are enough of you to make sure each small group has a large compliment of critics, and you are all prepared for their strategy, then it might be worth participating.

When you are participating be firm (and stay calm!) and do not allow anyone in your group (the pro-refugee people) to wander into a discussion about moral duty. Make them stick to the facts—cost of the program, employment, housing, security and so forth.

It is important to stay calm and reasoned because one important part of the Delphi Strategy is to show you as crazy people and the facilitators (the pro-refugee resettlement people) as the professional-sounding ‘good’ people.  Anyone attending who has not made up their mind will then naturally tend to relate to those people—the nice-sounding people—instead of you.

Make sure you get to the media when it’s over and don’t allow the sponsoring group to monopolize any reporters present.  If no reporters are present, then call your local media yourself—right away!

There might be other things you can think of to do, I’m not an expert, but I have seen it done to unsuspecting citizens often enough to recognize it!

And, please, please, all of you who plan to attend, click here and read the strategy on how you can defeat the Delphi Technique!

Conservative Tree House blogger says you can do it too!

Do you follow Sundance at the Conservative Tree House blog?  If not, you should.

darth20soros
And, it is not just Soros on the Left, but the Murdochs and Kochs on the Right!

I don’t know who he (or she) is, or if it is really a ‘they,’ but here in an important post yesterday, Sundance reminds all of us that we can do what he/she has done in exposing the big money/power behind the throne.

I didn’t know it when I started to write about the UN/US State Department Refugee Admissions Program that single-issue/investigative blogging held so much promise.

Now I believe there is almost nothing so important as citizen journalists especially when they focus like a laser on a critical issue of our day!

Here is Sundance explaining how there are trillions of dollars at stake in the Presidential race and why Donald Trump is such a threat to them (the poster at right says it all).

But, this is the line that jumped out at me:

Anyone with even moderate research skills could assemble the same data if they had: a.) time, and b.) inclination.    Sometimes, like the “splitter strategy“, conspiracies are not theory.  The behavior inherent within the visible activity is simply just an outcome of a mutually beneficial plan.

Please, please find some time and join the small (so far!) army of citizen journalists, it is really the only hope we have to save America.  Find one issue, be persistent, work a little every day, and find a way to get what you learn out to your fellow citizens even if it is just in your home town!

The framers understood the importance of the First Amendment—use it!

And, do it fearlessly!

We need more of this! Become a citizen journalist!

This is an incredible tale from a recent “town hall” in Northern Virginia. The citizen investigative reporter/journalist, C. Trauernicht, attended a public meeting and reports what was heard here at Conservative HQ.

I’ve only snipped a small segment of the article because I want you to read the whole thing especially if you live in Virginia where some of your elected officials are mentioned by name!

You too can do this!

Arlington Muslim Town Hall Meeting Bashes GOP Presidential Candidates

The “non-partisan” description was what drew me to the event. I fully expected there to be a thoughtful, educational, informative, respectful exchange of ideas. But that was not what happened.

Alfonso-638x425
Virginia Del Alfonzo Lopez (D-Arlington) mocked the Tea Party for concerns about Sharia law and called out “75-year old white Delegates in Richmond who want their VA back.”

Simply put, the organizers staged an event to bash VA Republican legislators, and presidential candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz. The “Town Hall Meeting” was highly partisan, to the point of distraction from the advertised topic.

There was no discussion about the tenets of Islam, no discussion about the tension between the Qur’an and the Hadith, and no discussion about the possible conflict within the Muslim community about their faith.

The first speaker was Nader Hasan, cousin of Major Nidal Hasan, known as the Fort Hood shooter. Nader described himself as “the epitome of the American dream,” and spoke about how he grew up in America, living a pleasant life. Never did he experience discrimination until after the Fort Hood shooting. [Then surprise! Continue reading…]

[….]

As the program moved through the next two panels of speakers, what attendees heard was consistent criticism of Republicans – ONLY. The VA legislators and Arlington County Board members who spoke were Democrats. The only Republican speaker identified was a representative of the Arlington County Republicans, and he sounded like an apologist for the Democrats. Even the two British speakers bashed Republicans!

Continue reading here, then get out there and find a public meeting like this near you! Don’t wait for a biased ‘mainstream media’ report on the event!

Attend and take good notes! Find a place to publish what you learn, write a letter-to-the editor, or better still: start your own blog!

Corey who? Trump manages again to change the subject/control the news

When I turned CNN on early this morning I knew The Donald’s falling into the abortion manure pit last night would be all the news and it was.  As a Trump fan even I have to admit I was yelling at the TV for him to shut-up. All he had to say to MSNBC’s Chris Matthews was that he is ‘pro-Life and let’s move on to the next question.’  That is all!

(Trump must get back to core issues of national security, immigration and trade! And, oops! forgot jobs of course!)

Meghan McCain
Fox News’ Meghan McCain wants Trump campaign manager fired. Ms. McCain does not speak for all conservative women—thank God! One more reason to turn off Fox and read and watch more alternative media.

Instead, they will ALL be buzzing about abortion today…

The abortion flap may have accomplished one thing—this morning, in the half an hour I watched CNN, I didn’t hear the word ‘Corey’ once. (Albeit a small sampling of the news.)

I had gone to bed steaming over the “conservative women journalists” who were after Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski’s head last night.

Did you see that these esteemed ‘journalists’ are demanding Trump fire Lewandowski and I’ll tell you if Trump caves to the harpies, I’ll be taking down my Trump yard signs because when I look at the images of the “assault,” I see a pushy woman, where she wasn’t supposed to be in the first place, having been told twice by the Secret Service to stay back and obviously ignoring them.

Trump must continue to stand by Lewandowski.

Here is the news (at Newsmax) about Cruz’s girls.  Have they no more important issues to cover than this? Hillary maybe?  Aren’t they even willing to wait until the legal system can work?

I’ll bet many of you have never heard of most of these self-important ‘journalists.’  The top three (below) have been unabashed Cruz supporters from day one, so their little effort here is so transparent.  They say they are concerned about women journalists and their treatment, really, and you aren’t Cruz crusaders first and foremost?

No surprise Ms. Megyn Kelly had two of them on her show last night.

Dana Loesch (Radio America, Blaze TV); Katie Pavlich, (Townhall, Fox News); Meghan McCain, (America Now Radio, Cosmopolitan, Fox News); S.E. Cupp, ( New York Daily News, Glamour, CNN); Mary Katharine Ham, (CNN, The Federalist); Christine Rosen, (New Atlantis, Commentary); Christina Hoff Sommers, (American Enterprise Institute).

Bethany Mandel, (The Federalist, Acculturated); Emily Zanotti, (American Spectator); Elisha Krauss, (AM 870 The Answer); Karol Markowicz, (New York Post); Kristen Soltis Anderson, (Washington Examiner); Mona Charen, (Ethics and Public Policy Center, Creators Syndicate); Sarah Rumpf, (freelance); Brooke Rogers, (National Review); and Mary Chastain, (Breitbart).

As I have said many times, the fascinating thing about Trump’s run for the Presidency is that it has, in some strange way, defined so many in the media and throughout our political system.

I won’t look at conservative media (or listen to talk radio) again in the same way as I have for years.

And, that is especially so now that I know that the supposed conservative media is so heavily funded by political operatives.  See the Conservative Treehouse here.  Blogger Sundance begins:

Thanks to the candidacy of Donald Trump the financial intersection of money and political opinion, as guided by the monetary motives therein, has brought some amazing revelations to the surface.

Indeed it has!

Stories, stories, stories, the Left’s tried and true method to jerk your chain

Well, maybe not your chain dear readers, because you get it, but for those not steeped in policy discussions on a daily basis.  Casual voters and skimmers of the news are particularly vulnerable.

Get out your tissues!  Rather than arguing the logic (illogic from our point of view) of federal initiatives—like the mass migration push of the Progressive Left, they always manage to get sympathetic stories about immigrants and refugees planted throughout the media in an effort to reach your emotions with the hope that you will forget your brains!

This is a ‘story’ from last week at the Daily Beast and it’s all about how a Muslim woman is now a US citizen thanks to Reagan’s 1986 (disastrous for us) amnesty. The title of the ‘story’ is: ‘A Muslim woman brought here by Reagan. Pushed away by Trump.’

Nancy and Farhana
The Daily Beast’s photo to illustrate their sob story… http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/03/20/a-muslim-woman-brought-here-by-reagan-pushed-away-by-trump.html

The ‘story’s’ hook is Nancy Reagan’s passing.  And, by the way, Farhana (the sympathetic star of the ‘story’) was not “brought here by Reagan.” Her father got in here illegally from Bangladesh and was granted amnesty (along with millions of other illegals) by Reagan.

Now Farhana, who always voted Republican (we are told) is being driven away from the political party she loves by Trump’s language.  I don’t need to go on, you get it, as if the Daily Beast cares one wit about one less Republican voter.

My point here is that we need to play the ‘story’ game every chance we get!

Those of us using our logic and reason when looking at public policy issues need to play their game more often—the let’s tell a ‘story’ game.

Esar Met closeup
Esar Met, a Burmese Muslim refugee, gets life in prison for murder of 7-year-old Christian girl. http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/nation/2014/05/14/utah-girl-killed-man-sentence/9094371/

For example, I never miss an opportunity to remind readers of that brutal rape and murder by a Muslim refugee of a little Christian girl in Salt Lake City a few years ago.  I reported it again here yesterday.

(And, by the way, the national media never picked up this ‘story’ even as the sensational trial went on for many weeks. Why? Because it didn’t fit the mainstream media’s narrative!)

Then there is the Iraqi refugee rapist who was living in Colorado Springs before he was sent to prison for the next 28 years, and the Kentucky refugee jihadists now doing time in federal prison.  Grrrr! You paid for their resettlement to America and now you will pay for their decades behind bars.

jasim_ramadon_mug_shot_cropped
Jasim Ramadon, an Iraqi refugee convicted of raping Colorado Springs woman.

You get my drift. If the Open Borders Progressive Left is going to inundate the media with sympathetic migrant stories, you should be doing the same with the unsympathetic ones.

Don’t make anything up or exaggerate—just remember to use emotion as a strategic (powerful) political weapon when you write.

If they can use Farhana’s story, you can balance it with Met’s story!

Trump spokesman exposes feminist hypocrisy with comments on female genital mutilation

Stephen Miller CNN
Soft spoken Trump aide Stephen Miller lets them have it on CNN yesterday. Let’s talk about real issues effecting American women!

Good for Stephen Miller!

Readers, I had such big plans to write a lot here this morning (I have a backlog of good stuff), but got side tracked (first at Potomac Tea Party Report where I needed to remind Marylanders to register to vote by April 5th, and tell them about the largest mosque complex in America opening this week right here in MD!)

Then I got side tracked with a post on Georgia here where a resettlement contractor is trying to figure out how to survive if Trump is elected and their supply of Muslim refugees is cut off.

That was followed by a fit of annoyance when a reader sent me a Wall Street Journal story about “welcoming” Utah where WSJ reporter Miriam Jordan never mentioned the brutal rape of a Christian girl by a Muslim refugee—a story which I am never going to let anyone forget!

harpies

So now, little time for a report on how Trump spokesman Stephen Miller lectured the harpies (and harpy enablers) at CNN yesterday about how they run their mouths on “sexism” but never dare mention really awful things happening to American (mostly immigrant) women, like female genital mutilation.

But, not to worry, Julia Hahn at Breitbart tells the story in very thorough fashion here.  This is how she begins:

Members of Sunday morning’s panel on CNN State of the Union are oblivious to the barbaric, anti-Western practice facing hundreds of thousands of U.S. girls as a result of unbridled Muslim migration.

When the CNN panel sought to criticize Donald Trump for his so-called sexist retweet that has monopolized the news cycle for several days, Trump’s senior policy advisor Stephen Miller punched back, slamming Washington’s political class and corporate media for expressing “feigned indignation” about a retweet while ignoring serious issues facing U.S. women.

“The political class in Washington D.C. works itself up into a feigned indignation about things that don’t actually affect the lives of the American people,” said Stephen Miller.

Miller explained that the political class in Washington D.C. gets mad about the wrong things. Miller then proceeded to list issues that should actually be a source of righteous indignation: “We don’t get mad when Americans are murdered by illegal immigrants, we don’t get mad when people have their jobs taken by cheaper foreign workers here on visa programs, we don’t get mad when entire cities are crushed by our trade policies that send jobs overseas… So I think a big part of the Trump campaign is that people want to get mad about the right things.”

Learn more about what Miller said especially on female genital mutilation by continuing here.  See map, here, where women are most at risk in US for female genital mutilation (states with big Muslim populations!).

Zuckerberg controlling speech in Germany (can you say Gestapo?)

This is really incredible. Did they learn nothing from Hitler’s Germany where free speech was so controlled that a massive human tragedy occurred for both Jews and the German people.

merkel and zuckerberg
Mama Merkel and the boy, plotting to control freedom of speech. Interesting that some versions of this story use this graphic and others don’t. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-09-26/merkel-confronts-facebook-s-zuckerberg-over-policing-hate-posts

This is news from late last week and so you’ve probably seen it—Facebook tycoon Markie Zuckerberg went to dear old Deutschland and promised to wipe “hate” speech from facebook postings, a sure fire way to create an even greater angry pressure cooker scenario where people, if not given an opportunity to vent with their voices, will find other means to blow off steam.

Editor: When I started this blog in January I figured much of my writing would focus on political policy enemies and I wasn’t expecting to find so much to write about where the media attempts to control thought.  See even Fox News here yesterday.

Here is Bloomberg Business (hat tip: the lobbying arm for US resettlement contractors*** who obviously think Zuckerberg is doing a good thing):

. CEO Mark Zuckerberg vowed to rid his site of hate speech against & migrants.

Bloomberg Business:

Facebook Inc.Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg vowed to rid his site of hate speech against migrants and lauded Germany’s leadership in the refugee crisis as part of an effort to win over those critical of the social media site’s handling of the matter.

“We’ve recognized how sensitive this is, especially with the migrant crisis here,” Zuckerberg said to thunderous applause at a town hall event in Berlin on Friday carried live on German cable news channels. “We hear the message loud and clear and we’re committed to doing better, there’s not a place for this kind of content on Facebook.”

Zuckerberg said about 200 people in Germany will police the site to remove racist posts, his clearest public remarks on the issue since Chancellor Angela Merkel’s government complained that the social network wasn’t doing enough to crack down on racists outbursts.

Merkel herself had stepped up the pressure after the arrival of more than 1 million refugees last year in Germany prompted a surge in hate postings. The chancellor confronted Zuckerberg in September on the sidelines of a United Nations development summit in New York to ask how his company was progressing in curtailing those posts.

Zuckerberg met Thursday in Berlin with Peter Altmaier, Merkel’s chief of staff, who is in charge of managing the refugee influx.

Come on folks, how about creating some new communication platforms to compete with facebook!

And, let me beg you all again to please, please use social media and more importantly start your own websites and blogs because they will have a much harder time shutting down everyone that way!

The political revolution we are witnessing right now is because you are able to get your news from thousands of sources, we need to keep it that way!

Since we have been talking about traitors at Fox News….

This story from May 2013 at Powerline blog tweeted by Mickey Kaus just now follows on the same theme we reported yesterday—that Fox News (Rupert Murdoch) was in the tank for the Schumer-Rubio ‘Gang of Eight’ bill and was doing all it could to make you think that Marco Rubio was/is the great white hope for immigration reform.

Rubio-Center-Gang-of-Eight-AP-640x480
Rubio, the cheerful leader of the Gang of Eight with Schumer and McCain, fears Senator Jeff Sessions!

This post is also intriguing on the morning after Senator Jeff Sessions (a champion for the American worker) endorsed Donald Trump for the Presidency (here).

I’ll say it again, whatever happens, we must thank Donald Trump for helping expose the establishment donor-class and how they (including Fox News!) have attempted to manipulate patriotic and good-hearted Americans for their own selfish goals and the financial advancement of globalist traitors.

Here is Paul Mirengoff at Powerline on May 24, 2013 (emphasis is mine):

Tonight, Sean Hannity had Marco Rubio on his show for an hour to advocate the Schumer-Rubio amnesty bill. The program was an embarrassment at two levels. First, as I feared, the format was heavily skewed in favor of Rubio and his position. Second, even with this skewing, Rubio’s main arguments were pathetic.

As to the format, Rubio spent roughly the first half of the program answering questions from Hannity. Some of the questions were good, but they were no substitute for debate. Hannity is not an expert on the legislation, and thus wasn’t in a position to challenge Rubio’s answers.

Why didn’t Fox have Jeff Sessions, for example, appear with Rubio to ensure the effective presentation of both sides? Probably because, as I understand it, Rubio refuses to appear with Sessions.

So can we expect an hour-long program in which Sessions or a comparably knowledgeable opponent of the anti-amnesty position appears with Hannity? Don’t hold your breath. The powers-that-be at Fox appear to be in the tank for the Schumer-Rubio bill.

Please America! No more boys (controlled by power hungry greedy globalists) in the White House!

Fox News, Rupert Murdoch agreed to manipulate viewers on amnesty issue

It is too late (I think) for Marco Rubio’s political career, but if any particular group is tagged with doing him in, it is those Senators (Schumer, McCain, Graham) he joined in his foolish ‘Gang of Eight’ venture and the leadership at Fox News!

Marco-Rubio-AP-Rupert-Murdoch-640x480
Poor Marco, used by all. I hope Murdoch can find a job for him. Hey, maybe as a fresh new face at News Corp. How about the Megyn and Marco show?

We have told you before about the role Fox News (Rupert Murdoch owner of Fox and the Wall Street Journal) is playing on immigration (AMNESTY) and now their attempted manipulation of conservative viewers and listeners on the subject is out in the open for the whole world to see—at of all places The New York Times.

The NYT reports that Fox viewership is down as viewers feel the vibes that Fox is in the tank for Rubio.

Get a load of this story yesterday by reporter Jason Horowitz:

A few weeks after Senator Marco Rubio joined a bipartisan push for an immigration overhaul in 2013, he arrived alongside Senator Chuck Schumer at the executive dining room of News Corporation’s Manhattan headquarters for dinner.

Their mission was to persuade Rupert Murdoch, the owner of the media empire, and Roger Ailes, the chairman and chief executive of its Fox News division, to keep the network’s on-air personalities from savaging the legislation and give it a fighting chance at survival.

Mr. Murdoch, an advocate of immigration reform, and Mr. Ailes, his top lieutenant and the most powerful man in conservative television, agreed at the Jan. 17, 2013, meeting to give the senators some breathing room.

But the media executives, highly attuned to the intensifying anger in the Republican grass roots, warned that the senators also needed to make their case to Rush Limbaugh, the king of conservative talk radio, who held enormous sway with the party’s largely anti-immigrant base.

Continue reading this bombshell story to see what happened next and how they attempted to manipulate conservative talk radio too.

By the way, the ‘Gang of Eight’ was not just about amnesty and the border. It would have expanded the role of the nine major refugee resettlement contractors (more $$$ would have gone to them) and they were all eager and out front lobbying for it.  See all ‘Gang of Eight’ posts at RRW by clicking here.  Some were tagged ‘Comprehensive Immigration Reform’ here.

Thank goodness ordinary Americans spotted the duplicity and helped kill this monster!

p.s. I was invited on Fox News one time to talk about one of Obama’s unilateral moves on refugees and at the end of the interview I went off script (producers had grilled me the day before to see what I would say to various questions that were never asked).  I said in the closing seconds of the interview:

“….immigration is our existential threat in this country, both the numbers and who we are bringing in.”

I believe that line ended my ‘career’ at Fox!  I didn’t make a distinction between ‘legal’ and ‘illegal’ immigration and I think they weren’t thrilled.
